A Minimal Shoe Rotation For Two Weeks Abroad
Two weeks abroad does not need five pairs of shoes. It needs two pairs that earn their spot and one pair that stays behind.
Rotating two pairs lets each one dry and recover, which doubles their comfort and their lifespan. Anything beyond that is luggage you will regret.
- One pair for active days and long walks.
- One pair for evenings, dinners, and light rain.
- Skip the pair you would wear only once.
- Wear the heavier pair on the plane to save bag weight.
Every shoe I pack must answer a simple question: will I wear it at least three times? If the answer is no, it stays home. Lighter bags make better trips.
